Your work may be calling people back to the office. You may even have a choice to remain a work at home mom. Here’s why you should take it.

When the pandemic started, everyone who could work from home was given that opportunity. This was great for families, especially as schools and daycares were also shut. Man businesses remained remote for some time, giving you the chase of being a work at home mom.

Now that the pandemic is coming to an end, businesses are calling people back to the office. Not all of them, though. There are some willing to allow people to remain working from home. Some businesses are even giving people the choice, as there are some people who don’t want to remain work at home moms.

Are you on the fence? Here’s why you should consider remaining a work at home mom.

You gain some flexibility as a work at home mom

This will defend on your workplace, but there are many employers who don’t really care when you check in for work. There will be a few meetings that you need to attend, but for the work you do yourself, you’ll just need to make sure it’s done by the end of the day.

That may mean you don’t have to work the traditional 9 to 5. What if you wake up early and want to start your day at 5 a.m.? What if you prefer to work in the evening because that’s when you’re most productive? It shouldn’t really matter about when you work as long as you get the tasks done, and you’re around when your colleagues need you.

This is great for moms. You have school pick-ups, meetings, and appointments to get to. Working from home allows you the flexibility to be a mom and an employee.

There’s no more daily commute

The daily commute has been a problem for many for many years. More and more people are commuting for an hour to work and back each day. Sure, that could be great to get through podcasts and books,b ut not everyone wants to do that commute.

It wastes a lot of time out of the day. Your workday finishes at 5 p.m, but it’s after 6 p.m. by the time you get home. And that’s providing the traffic is smooth. Of course, everyone is commuting at the same time, which means you’re on the road for a lot longer.

When you’re a work at home mom, you ditch that commute completely. You make the most of the time with your family. You can even have time for yourself to try putting on Glitterbels gel polish.

Don’t replace the commute with extra work. Unless you’re being more flexible with your hours during the day, of course.

By the way, ditching the commute helps you save a lot more money, too. You’ll save on gas, while also protecting the environment.

Eat lunch at home in comfort

You do still get a lunch break when you’re working from home. The best thing about this is you get to make the food at home using this microwave air fryer combination. You’re no longer limited to supplies in the office kitchen, which usually is just a microwave to warm up food if you’re lucky.

When you’re at home, you can make whatever you like. You won’t be as tempted to grab fast food, and you won’t be stuck with the same old sandwiches every day.

The same applies to drinks. You’ll drink what you have in the house, saving you money on coffees and everything else. Sure, you’re using the electricity in your house, but that bill is going to be nothing compared to the savings on the commute and your food and drink. You can set up the office for your needs

When you work in the office, you’ll be limited to the items there. This will mean the chair and desks provided, and the computer available to use. Then there’s the issue of gossip colleagues and the temperature control for everyone. None of this is a problem when you’re a work at home mom.

You get to set up your home office the way you want. Yes, you’ll want a dedicated room or space for the office, but you get to create something that works for you. You get to choose your office chair, and you can set up a standing desk* to be healthier at work.

All the distractions of the workplace are gone. It could be tempting for some to replace with other distractions, though. Depending on the way you work, you could end up with TV and email distractions. You’ll want to watch out for this. However, you just know the office is how you want it so you work more productively.

You become a healthier employee

There are a lot of ways that you’ll be healthier by working from home. One of those ways is waiting at home. You ditch the fast food temptations. you’ll eat what’s in the house, and that’s usually going to be more expensive than eating out.

There’s another important way you’ll benefit. You’ll be able to step away from the desk and do some home exercises. This could be walking the dogs, or it could be a home yoga class or workout. You could even opt for a standing desk to help improve your health.

Even if your boss doesn’t offer a lot of flexibility, you can still benefit. You have the ability to set up the office in your way and there are desk workouts you can do when you have a five-minute break.
