Breakups are hard. They’re a little like grieving the loss of a loved one. The Break-Up Workbook by Kendra Allen is a must.

We’ve all been through heartbreaks. Some of them were when we were teenagers, but then there are those later in life. They can be our decision or come at us like a shock to the system.

One thing that I will say is that we all deal with breakups in our own way; we all take our own time to get over the pain. It’s a little like grieving. After all, we are grieving the loss of a future we thought was going to happen.

When I ended my marriage due to abuse and infidelity, I went straight to a therapist to help me. He was great, but then I found out about The Break-Up Workbook by Kendra Allen*.

What is The Break-Up Workbook by Kendra Allen?

The book is more than just another guide to gain tips from. This is a full workbook, giving you the chance to take notes and work through your own feelings. It all starts with assembling your first-aid kit, which involves setting up routines and working through the initial pain.

As you work through the workbook, you’ll get to detoxing from the ex and then work on building healthy relationships in the future. By the end of the workbook, you’ll not only have dealt with the breakup, but you’ll also be at a stage where you’re ready to move on and focus on living a healthier and happier life.

Work on the book in your own time

One thing that I love about the workbook is that it involves self-study. You have the chance to work on everything in your own time. It doesn’t matter if you’re ready to move on immediately or if you need a few months to get through each stage.

This is all personal. You’re not being asked to share your work with anyone. All you need to do is dig deeper into your soul to gain that chance of healing. It’s all about you—and I know a lot of people will tell you otherwise.

The book isn’t all about focusing on negative emotions, either. Sure, there are going to be a lot to start with, but the focus is on healing. There are sections were you want to deal with positive emotions within yourself. You’ll get the opportunity to work on forgiving—not necessarily your ex, but also yourself—and finding a support system to help you.

I’d highly recommend working through the book before you move on in the dating world. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find that being single is more peaceful and a happier space for you. There is a section for when you do start dating if that’s something you choose to do.
