While we still have absolutely no idea about the storyline for Only Murders in the Building Season 6, we do know that the series is heading to the UK. So, with that in mind, it makes sense that the new guest stars confirmed for the season are British actors.
Jennifer Saunders was the first announced by Deadline, as it shared the current guest stars joining the show. They also include Reign’s Sean Teale, Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, and The Imitation Game’s Matthew Beard. There’s also an Irish guest star confirmed, as Pulling’s Sharon Horgan joins the cast.
Only Murders in the Building Season 6 Takes Us to the UK
We don’t know much about the story just yet. All we do know is that the series is heading overseas for the first time, and our trio of podcasters will spend the time investigating the murder of Cinda Canning. She managed to get to the gates of the Arconia so that the podcasters can technically investigate for their podcast. After all, murders have to happen “in” the building.
However, the fifth season confirmed that Cinda was investigating a murder that was connected to the UK. She shared about a red-haired woman who was accused of killing someone of royal descent in London. However, Cinda also claimed that the red-haired woman was innocent, and she made her way to the U.S. for safety.
Of course, that means the trio will need to solve the murder that she was looking into if they want to solve hers.
Only the Podcasting Trio Is Confirmed as Returning
At this point, there are no other cast members confirmed for Only Murders in the Building* Season 6. We have no idea who the guest stars will play, and we just know that Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are confirmed as returning.
Moving the show to another country, it can wipe out the ability to include other members of the Arconia who have helped with investigations in the past. Of course, phone calls and emails are plausible, but it’s unlikely that they’ll join the podcasters on the road.
This doesn’t mean the entire season will be in the UK. The fourth season was partially set on the West Coast, but we still got to see time spent at the Arconia now and then!
