One Piece Season 3 Is Already Confirmed — and Here’s What to Know

One Piece Season 3

One thing I hate about binge watches is that once you’ve got through the season that’s it. There’s no anticipation for more each week, and that’s certainly how I feel about One Piece. At least going into this season, we already knew that One Piece Season 3 was going to happen.

Yes, One Piece was already renewed for a third season ahead of Season 2 dropping. This was always going to be important considering how long it took to film the second season — it’s been three years since Season 1 arrived! — but also, it helps us go into a season without too many concerns.

One Piece Season 3 Was Confirmed in 2025

Netflix confirmed the third season back in August 2025, but there were inclinations long before that. The cast had spoken about filming, including the third season in their comments, and it made it clear that this story was going to continue.

However, officially, it was a little less than a year before the second season would drop on the streamer. Filming has already started, helping to keep the wait for that third season to a minimum.

One Piece Season 3 Release Date on Netflix

When can we expect it? Well, your guess is as good as mine. Netflix is never open about these things.

The first season premiered in August 2023, and it wasn’t until March 2026 that the second season dropped. Yes, that’s almost three years between the seasons, and part of that is due to the delay in renewal and filming starting. One Piece Season 2 didn’t start filming until 2024!

At least, the third season is currently filming. That started back in November 2025, and it could help to reduce the wait by a whole year. We’re looking at toward the end of 2027 if it takes two years to get through filming and post-production. Hopefully, we won’t need to wait until 2028!

The core cast of Straw Hats will return, and we’ll get to see another member. Mikaela Hoover has been upped to series regular, meaning that Chopper will become more of an integral part of the story. Vivi will also be a core part, which is exciting for many.

Then there are the villains, as Joe Manganiello has been upped to series regular for One Piece Season 3. That means we’ll get to see more of Crocodile! Awdo Awdo and Daisy Head will join the series as Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger, and we’ll also get to see Cole Escola as Mr. 2, who also goes by the name Bon Clay.

There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to One Piece Season 3. It is happening, so if you haven’t settled into the second season yet, now is the time to do it.
