There’s always a concern about binging your way through a new series, especially with a streaming platform. Elle Season 1 just dropped, and there’s no way any Legally Blonde* fan could skip it.
The problem now is hoping that there is more to come. With a weekly release, at least there’s time to build an audience. With the binge-watch model, that audience needs to be loyal from the start.
And let’s face it — most of the time, we’re not! We want to know that we’re not going to be left with major cliffhangers for the show to be abruptly canceled.
Elle Season 2 Is Officially Happening
There is some excellent news. Prime Video already renewed Elle* ahead of the first season.
In fact, filming has already happened! Yes, Elle Season 2 is officially happening.
So, if you haven’t watched the first season yet, now is the time to do so. It’s worth the risk, because there is definitely more to come.
Not Everyone Will Return for Season 2
Now for some of the bad news. Not all characters will return, and much of that is based on how the first season ended. Don’t expect to see Danielle Chand return as Shannon. At least, not for now.
She decided to leave Seattle at the end of the first season, and that storyline is fixed for the second season. That being said, Chand is open to returning should the storyline allow, and she even has some ideas about how it could happen.
One character who is definitely returning is Madison, played by Jessica Belkin. This is likely one who many people worried about, as she will be on FOX’s Baywatch reboot. Well, she has filmed throughout the second season, so you can breathe a sigh of relief!
Elle Season 1 marked a bittersweet moment. This was James Van Der Beek’s final TV role before his death in February 2026.
