Here we are! It’s finally time for House of the Dragon Season 3 to premiere, and you know what that means: the Battle of the Gullet!

This is going to be a huge season, as there are more battles, more dragons, and more drama. This is the season we have all been waiting for, and that means the weekly wait for each episode is going to be difficult.

Yes, HBO is sticking with the weekly release. It’s a premium cable network, so what do you expect? This network has a channel to watch live on as well as a streaming app!

What Time Do House of the Dragon Episodes Air?

House of the Dragon Season 3 will air at 9 p.m. ET on HBO. The great news is that it streams on HBO Max at the same time. There’s no need to wait until the episode finishes or even until the next day if you watch it on the app.

If you’re in Canada, episodes will air on Crave at 9 p.m. ET. Other locations will need to check their own listings.

If you need to read the book still, you can pick up Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin* right now. Just keep in mind that there have already been some major changes.

There are only eight episodes in the season, so the finale will air on August 9, 2026. Then it’s another two-year wait for the final season.

Yes, expect a two-year wait. Ryan Condal has recently shared that it takes a year to film a full season of House of the Dragon, and then it takes another seven to eight months to handle the dragons. Now, as the season gets closer to the end, there will be fewer dragons to add in, as unfortunately, this is the point when they all start dying out, so it could help to reduce the post-production time. However, HBO has slated Season 4 for 2028.

House of the Dragon* is available to stream on HBO Max.
