The Ghosts Season 5 Finale delivered some powerful and exciting moments. With the risk to Woodstone Manor, Sam and Jay figured out a way to save their home. It turns out that Nancy was a princess, but to be able to prove that, Sam and Jay had to travel to England to get the historical documents.
Great, except that Sam got a call to find out that people are interested in her movie. On top of that, they want to turn it all into a franchise. So, she had to remain in New York.
Fortunately, Kyle could go to England with Jay, and Pete went with them. Of course, the longer Pete is away from Woodstone, the more he starts to disappear, and there have been times we feared Pete wouldn’t get back to the boundary in time.
Did Pete Sacrifice Himself for Woodstone in the Ghosts Season 5 Finale?
As usual, Pete started to disappear. They were just getting to the boundary with Pete as just a head when suddenly, he disappeared completely.
What does this mean? It’s where the Ghosts Season 5 Finale left us, and now I’m worried that it means Pete is gone for good.
My question is whether he’s actually disappeared, or whether he’s just turned invisible. Once he gets over the boundary, will he come back? Or was this his sacrifice to help save Woodstone Manor? What does it mean about him ever being sucked off?
I will say that this is certainly going to keep me invested all summer break. When the Ghosts* Season 3 Finale left us wondering about who had been sucked off, I wasn’t as worried. I didn’t think the writers would write one of the characters off so soon. At this point, though? I can definitely see it happening.
If Pete is gone, it’s a beautiful sacrifice. In fact, it’s a sacrifice that is worthy of him being sucked off. At the start of Ghosts Season 5, this was something he thought about again. Carol had sacrificed herself for Pete, and that led to her getting to go up rather than down.
Pete wanted that as well. In fact, all the ghosts did, but they’ve never truly made a sacrifice just for other people. Pete did that.
So, even if we do see him return as the boundary is crossed, we could end up saying goodbye anyway. And it really is a rather fitting way to end Pete’s story.
