It’s Wednesday night, and that should mean we’re getting ready for another One Chicago lineup. Well, while you can watch the three shows tonight, Wednesday, April 15, you can’t check out new episodes. All three shows are taking another break.
Yes, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD are all taking the night off. The good news is we know when all three will return, along with a tease of what to expect.
Why Is the One Chicago Lineup On Another Break?
It feels like we’re constantly on a break, and that’s because NBC’s schedule is always on and off this time of year. It’s an annoying part of TV. Due to the number of episodes available and the number of weeks that NBC needs to fill, there are the odd weeks where we get reruns instead of new episodes. This is one of those weeks.
Personally, I think it’s better to have a longer break in the winter to avoid this on-off schedule, but NBC clearly doesn’t agree with that. I had hoped that the Winter Olympics would help to ease off this on-off schedule, but again, that’s not been the case.
There are just four episodes left of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD, and NBC will want to get to at least the middle of the month for the finale episodes. This should be the last break, though!
What to Expect When Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD Return
We know when the One Chicago shows are back. All three will air on Wednesday, April 22, and we have some idea of what to expect.
During Chicago Med, Ripley will question Lenox’s decision about medical care. She wants to save the leg of a young boy who has been brought into the medical center. However, this surgery is risky, and Ripley worries that a father is going to lose both of his children.
During Chicago Fire, Violet and Novak will find themselves in a perilous situation. It all starts off with a man rushing over to them to help their pregnant girlfriend, but they soon learn that this woman is a hostage. Now the two paramedics are being held, and since this wasn’t an official call, it’s possible that nobody knows where they are or what’s going on.
We then have Chicago PD Season 13 Episode 18, where a robbery goes so wrong that it leads to Intelligence getting involved. There have been other burglaries, and now that the team is on it, it’s time to get to the bottom of it all.
All of these episodes will air on Wednesday, April 22 starting at 8/7c on NBC.
