If you’ve ever followed me on other websites, you’ll know that I’ve written a lot about Outlander over the years. That included Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the prequel series that focuses on Claire and Jamie’s parents. Just ahead of the first season, a second season was ordered, and now we know when that second season will arrive.
Again, if you’ve followed me elsewhere, you’ll know that I predicted 2027 as a release date for Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2. I did say early 2027, but I thought that STARZ would want a season of an Outlander show each year. Well, color me surprised with the latest news.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Will Arrive in 2026
It turns out that Outlander: Blood of My Blood* Season 2 will premiere in fall 2026. STARZ hasn’t set the exact month, but we don’t have to wait until next year for the episodes to drop.
I do imagine that STARZ will want to wait until later in the fall. I doubt we’ll see it in September or October. Instead, I have a feeling that STARZ will run it at the end of November, so that there are then some episodes that can air in January 2027. This will match the way Outlander Season 7B was managed.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Teaser Gives Us a Look
We do get a look at what to expect in the second season in a short Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 teaser. There’s not much dialogue, except for Ellen saying, “Ye will come back to me.” It somewhat sounds like a question, but it feels more like a statement.
This is likely linked to the end of the first season, which saw fiery crosses lit. Brian looked out at them and knew that it meant he would need to go back home, or he’d never be able to show his face again. We get a glimpse of him fighting alongside Dougal MacKenzie in the second season teaser, which could hint that he chooses the MacKenzies over his own father.
There is also a glimpse of Henry and Julia Beauchamp in the 1920s. They are heading out of the door, leaving their daughter Claire behind. The first season ended with them getting on the train to Scotland, which we know is supposed to be the last time they see Claire. This will either be another flashback or a wish for the parents to get back to their daughter.
At the end of the first season, Henry and Julia finally reunited. However, it looks like they may be taken again, as while Henry pushed Julia and their son to the stones, it’s not clear if all three went through or not.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood* Season 2 premieres sometime in fall 2026 on STARZ.
