While Outlander Season 8 is now available in full on STARZ*, there are plenty of people who will want to wait to watch it on Netflix. After all, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and it’s no longer affordable for all these different streaming platforms.
Yes, the time-traveling love story is set to arrive on Netflix, but not for some time. There’s a two-year wait for the STARZ series to head to the biggest streaming platform.
Outlander Season 8 Will Arrive on Netflix in May 2028
The good news is that we have a light at the end of the very long tunnel. Outlander always drops two years after the finale airs on STARZ. This was originally a way to keep some of the seasons of the series exclusive to STARZ, since there was often such a long wait for the newer seasons.
So, with that in mind, I’m expecting Outlander Season 8 to arrive on Netflix on May 17, 2028.
That seems like it’s an eternity away, but it will be here before you know it. After all, that final season suddenly crept up on us after years of waiting!
You can still watch Outlander Season 8* on STARZ, which is where it will remain even with the Netflix deal.
What About Netflix in Other Countries?
This is just for Netflix in the United States. Some countries already have the episodes on the streamer due to licensing rights and the deals STARZ made to get the show out there. Other countries won’t get it at all, such as the UK, where the series airs on MGM+ instead.
However, Canada should get the episodes on February 6, 2027, as there is usually an 11-month wait based on the premiere date. Australian and New Zealand should see the episodes on March 6, 2027, due to the 12-month wait based on the premiere date.
I’ll be sure to keep an eye on things for those who are waiting for episodes to head to Netflix. At least, there’s not as long of a wait for Outlander: Blood of My Blood* Season 2, which will air on STARZ in September 2026.
