We don’t have to wait as long as we thought for Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2. STARZ has confirmed a fall premiere date!
On top of that, we have a second teaser trailer, bringing us more of an insight into what to expect. If you wanted to see more of Henry and Julia together, you will be disappointed based on the teaser.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Premiere Date
The official premiere date for the second season is Sept. 18, 2026. The Outlander prequel spinoff will drop on the STARZ app at midnight ET on that date, meaning that those on the west cost will be able to watch it from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Then episodes will air on Friday nights on the app. There will also likely be repeats throughout the weekend as STARZ pushes its own content.
What to Expect in the Second Season of the Outlander prequel
The teaser trailer gives us a hint at things to come. We know the First Jacobite Rebellion is set to happen. That was always going to be the case considering we’re set in 1715, which is when that first rebellion took place in real history.
At the end of Outlander: Blood of My Blood* Season 1, the fiery crosses were lit, and that meant Brian Fraser had no choice but to go back home. If he didn’t, then he would be cast out of Scotland, and he wouldn’t want that to happen. As much as he was done being forced to do his dad’s bidding, he still wants to be part of a clan.
That means he’ll have to come out of the hole that he and Ellen had found after running away from Ellen and Malcolm’s wedding. There are consequences to face there.
Meanwhile, we have Julia and Henry, who finally reunited in the past. Henry got to meet his son, and that meant the two had to get out of dodge after Henry whisked her away from Lord Lovat. They got back to the stones, but there were questions about whether their son could travel, too.
So, Henry encouraged Julia and their son to go through the stones. It looks like they are separated through time now, and not just by land.
