The Count of Monte Cristo Episode 6 Sees the Truth Come Out Without Anyone Realizing!

The Count of Monte Cristo

Edmond’s enemies prove to be the most idiotic people on The Count of Monte Cristo Episode 6, and it allows him to continue playing the long game. The best thing is that he tells them everything without them even realizing it, making it clear that he is always a step or two ahead of everyone else.

If you wondered how Luigi Vampa was going to come into this episode, then you weren’t alone. He was encouraged back into the story at the end of Episode 5, and he certainly played the new part well. However, things may take a turn without Edmond playing a part, and he may want to get an innocent person out of trouble.

Luigi Tells Everyone About the Treasure on The Count of Monte Cristo

Luigi is more than willing to put on a show, even if he wasn’t willing to come to Paris in the first place. The best thing is that Edmond’s story of finding the treasure is told to Danglers. Luigi explains how he is the Count of Spata and how he found the money. It’s everything that Edmond went through, and Danglers is far too occupied with greed to realize that Luigi was a little too eager to share the story.

I love watching Danglers getting played, but he’s not the one that I want to see pulled down from his position all that much. After all, he did have his doubts about giving the letter to the authorities in the end. He just didn’t do anything to stop the arrest, so he is partially to blame, but too much time is being spent on him.

Villefort Is Delivered a Blow

The most exciting part of the episode is seeing Villefort get delivered blow after blow. He should be the one to see who Edmond is, but he’s so wrapped up in his own life and covering up his own secrets that he doesn’t even bother to think too hard. He’s going to want to change that, though.

Just as it looks like Valentine may get to marry Max after all — thanks to Noirtier’s confession — she ends up arrested for a crime she didn’t commit. Is nobody going to question why she was willingly sharing information about her grandmother the night before if she intentionally poisoned the woman?

Of course, Edmond knows who stole from him. While he told Haydee that there was nothing amiss or to worry about, he knew exactly what he had in his lab. So, he’ll know that someone took the poison, and there was only one person in there at the time. As a man who was convicted of a crime that he didn’t commit, he will want to protect Valentine from this injustice. We know how it plays out in the novel, but how will it play out in this story?

Overall, though, the episode is on the boring side. I’m just ready to see the revenge story played out in full. There’s a lot of building up the supporting characters, but watching Edmond play his games has been the most exciting part of the whole story. Let’s get back to it!
